2013 LUCEO Student Project Award Call for Entries

Central to LUCEO’s mission is our belief in the importance of long-term projects. We also understand that developing photographers need support. To advance both of these causes, LUCEO has created the LUCEO Student Project Award, which will be disbursed annually to a talented student photographer in support of a significant and developing body of work.

This year's prize package is worth more than $5,000. Here's how it breaks down:

This year’s recipient will receive $1,000 cash and an one-year mentorship for the project from LUCEO.

MAC-ON-CAMPUS will also be giving away $1,000 in vouchers to the selected winner(s).

LOOK3 will be offering student passes for all of the finalists and an Education Week Pass to the recipient for the 2013 LOOK3 Festival June 13-15 in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. This package is worth $2,125.

Along with donating this contest platform, PhotoShelter will be giving the winner a one year Standard account worth $329

Michael Wichita, interim Director of Photography at AARP Media will be selecting one finalist for an assignment for AARP worth $600, plus expenses.

The recipient will be announced on the CNN Photo Blog. They will be interviewed by CNN and will be paid $600.

Finalists will be announced in late May. And the winner will be announced on June 3rd on the CNN Photo Blog.
